Paris is on the minds of many members of our community as we all collectively carry on with our daily lives after taking a deep breath from a less then stellar Monday, and even while it may seem a bit of cognitative dissonance it is the collected wisdom of the beautiful and the strange that make life worthwhile.
If it's show reviews you crave Couture Cult has in depth looks of Christian Dior (plus a video) and Yohji Yamamoto. I Am Fashion has Nina Ricci covered (though we sort of prefer their in depth financial analysis, and trust us one of these girls as the same Econ heavy alma mater us yours truly so she knows a thing or two) while Shiny Style also takes a stab at Dior. A Wee Bit Skint goes in for some Isabel Marant while High Fashion Girl takes a journey into the surreal with Yohji Yamamoto.
And if you would prefer just a little general blogger awesome then we have a few options as well. Trend de la Creme has a most comprehensive look at paperclips as fashion object. If you are a New York girl with unruly hair and early morning meetings then Beauty of Life may just have found your perfect solution. Hint, it involves a blow out and Bumble and Bumble. And last but not least Wardrobe Oxygen says something we have been thinking for ages. What is the fucking deal with style books. Seriously? How fucking confusing are they for your average woman. Bless her for demystifying and taking them to task.

And here we go around the blogosphere again for another look at what products, designers, and pressing questions are captivating the hearts and minds of our beloved community.
Wardrobe Oxygen made us giggle, cheer, and even tear up a little as she turned one of fashion's favorite catch phrases "make it work" on its head. You see sometimes you just should't make a garment work. And in the immortal words of a certain lawyer named Elle Woods, if the fabric won't work with you don't work with it!
Spork Fashion has a really cute butt! No really, she is testing out Levi's Totally Sliming Jeans which are amazingly only $20 at Wal-Mart. We think this might be an example of the fabric working for you!
Platinum Blonde Life is in love with Lim's Louboutins (rolling those "L"s off the tongue was fun!) showing off a beautiful collage of look at me goodness.
Fasshonaburu has discovered Japanese designer Tsumori Chisato and is loving that its manga print cuteness translates to regular women.
15 Minute Beauty has let it be known that the YSL Black Lipgloss is here. OMG! We are obviously fans here at Coutorture as we have lost track of the amount of times we have referenced this collection.

Our network partner,
Wardrobe Oxygen, gave her reader's a
practical run-down on buying a one-piece at a reasonable price. The post, which covers the one-piece veterans like
Lands End and
J. Crew, made us think of how many other brands are kicking it into gear with one piece suits. Thankfully, the one-piece swimsuit trend is being embraced by women of all shapes and sizes, no longer pitting us into corners of the slim versus curvy divide that swimwear often punctuates. Check out Wardrobe Oxygen's post on the classic one-piece finds, and our spread below, of some high end and indie offerings.

Its tough being an
outlier. As much as we think of fashion as being a creative business a lot of it boils down to the technical aspects of design such as creating garments that fit as you get bigger and bigger or smaller and smaller individuals. And if you don't fit nicely into the bell curve of shapes getting dressed can be a real bear in the morning. It just so happens that our lovely
Wardrobe Oxygen has some fantastic advice for women that are a few
standard deviations away from the norm when it comes to calf sizes.
Her guide to boots for larger calves is impressively complete. So if you find yourself in that 13.6% or even in that 2.2% away from the rest of the "normal" women in the 68% one standard deviation bracket have no fear as there is something for you there.
