Yves Saint Laurent Men's Spring 2010 Video
This season in Milan, Yves Saint Laurent creative director Stefano Pilati debuted a short film before his Spring 2010 men's collection went down the runway. Directed by Samuel Benchetrit and starring Benchetrit's 11 year-old son, Jules, the film depicts the mischievous happenings of a young boy left alone for the afternoon. Aside from videos, YSL's recent marketing strategies and special projects include outstanding and well-received multimedia manifestos, unisex collections and eco-friendly offerings.
Nina Ricci Fall 2009 Collection Video
The last Nina Ricci collection with designer Oliver Theyskens at the helm was one of the most powerful collections of the Fall 2009 season. With Resort 2010 in full swing next week followed by the inevitable build up to Spring 2010, we can't help but want to dwell for a moment in Fall footage. Above, check out video from the Nina Ricci show in Paris.
Paris Fashion Week: Chanel Fall 2009 Video
There was talk of the Chanel runway being comprised of a set of trap doors, making for a slightly awkward runway show--and our video lays its all out there for you. Staging quandaries aside, Karl Lagerfeld's collection for Chanel this season called up a series of ruffled collars and cuffs which, as the designer explained, can be removed--"at noon they're already dirty"--in order to avoid taking your dress to the dry cleaner after just two wears. Looks like Lagerfeld is more recession minded than we thought. Check out our video below, and a photo gallery of the individual looks right here.

New York Fashion Week: Ralph Lauren Fall 2009 Video
The Fall 2009 Ralph Lauren collection was all about mixing casual, accessible pieces with super luxe, formal ones. The color palette was pale, and predominately earthy, save for the occasional flashes of black or plum. Although Lauren has agreed not to use fur in his collections his shearling and feather pieces compensated in the texture department. Check out our video of the runway show, courtesy of Vidicom, and after, don't miss our runway gallery of each individual look.

New York Fashion Week: Michael Kors Fall 2009 Video
Michael Kors presented a sleek Fall 2009 collection yesterday that was just the right balance of sensibility and fun. In our video, courtesy of Vidicom, Kors talks about why women won't stop shopping during times of economic uncertainty and why just the right amount of luxury--an acid green fox fur jacket perhaps?--is not only appropriate, but justified. After the video, check out our runway gallery from the show.

Rachel Rachel Roy For Macy's Collection Video
News broke earlier this week that designer Rachel Roy would launch a bridge line with Macy's and apparently there's a collection video to go with it! The Rachel Rachel Roy line will include footwear, apparel and accessories and debut in select Macy's locations this August 2009. Check out the teaser video above.
Paris Fashion Week: Lanvin Fall 2009 Video
Alber Elbaz's collection for Lanvin this season took place on a rain soaked catwalk under moody streetlamp lighting. His models, clad in 1940's silhouettes and gloved, heeled, and belted to perfection, appeared as though they were walking in Paris at night after a rainstorm. The collection might not have fit in with all of the 1980's optimism we saw this season, but it was about making women happy nonetheless. Check out our video of the show below, and, our photo gallery of each look.

Paris Fashion Week: Christian Dior Fall 2009 Video
John Galliano loves taking inspiration from moments in history so rich with possibilities that they make standbys like "The 80's" seem positively lazy. This season, at Christian Dior, it was French designer Paul Poiret's Eastern-influenced designs that served as a starting point for Galliano. Where some designer's might stick to just "The East" in the broadest sense of the term, Galliano looked at The East through Poiret who looked at The East through Europe at the turn of the century. We know, it's more postmodern than The Cheesecake Factory. Check out our video from of the show below, and, our gallery of the individual looks.
