Marni Resort 2010
Although our focus may have shifted to the Men's Spring 2010 shows, the Resort 2010 collections are still coming in. Marni Opens A New York Flagship Uptown, But Will You Be Able To Find It?
Today WWD reported that a second Marni flagship has opened in New York between 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue on 67th Street. Somehow both the reporter and Consuelo Castiglioni have convinced themselves that this is off the beaten path even though, in truth, the area is one of the most dense retail zones in all of Manhattan. Probably the country. Probably the world. That aside, it's exciting that Marni has opened a second flagship considering the other one is all the way downtown. Ah, but there's a catch. The two stores will be stocked and curated according to their geographical profile so the Carrie Bradshaw types (who dress downtown but live uptown) will still have to cab-it down to Mercer Street to go shopping.
