We owe you some Halloween-inspired links and who better to provide them than our lovely Network Partners--have a happy and safe holiday, but, before you go read on.
We're nearly ready to wrap up our Friday afternoon in preparation for some Halloween happenings and if you should be doing the same, but are still stuck without a costume, here's our last minute fix. There isn't a more appropriate time to dress as a beatnik, abandoner of materialism, than in this economic climate nor is their a cuter way to escape the sexy-costume paradox so many women are faced with on halloween. We're guessing many of you have most of these things in your wardrobe already, save for a quick errand to a bookstore, American Apparel, or street vendor. The best part about this last-minute costume? Reading Ginsberg poems aloud with a martini in your hand. Happy Halloween!
If you're looking for a Halloween costume that is both economical, trend aware, historically relevant, and sexy to boot--we think we found the ultimate costume idea. The flapper costume could cost you less than one hundred dollars and include fringe and feathers which have both been slated as big Fall and Spring 09 trends. Check out our Spring 09 trend report galleries, here and here for more evidence.
