Victoria Beckam dismisses rumors she will open the U.S. branch of Storm Models with manager (and financial backer of her fashion line) Simon Fuller.
As her spokesperson told Vogue.com UK this morning, "There is absolutely no truth in the story regarding Victoria Beckham and Simon Fuller opening a modelling agency in New York. Victoria is concentrating all her efforts on her fashion line and her family." [Vogue.com UK]
Victoria Beckham's ready-to-wear range continues to do well online, particularly on Net-a-Porter. The celebrity-cum-designer's sculptural but classic dresses from Fall 2009 were praised when they first showed in New York in Februrary--so it's no surprise that they were also a hit on the retail floor.
Yesterday wasn't just a big day for Katie Holmes, in fact, another celebrity Spring 09 ad campaign dropped--namely, Victoria Beckham for Emporio Armani Underwear. In the press release for the campaign, Giorgio Armani said, "I chose Victoria Beckham to launch our new global Emporio Armani Women's Underwear campaign because she is a stylish and intriguing woman. Great underwear is alluring and provocative, and so I wanted to work with someone who would make a real impression." The full ad campaign will be featured in magazines next month.
