Urban Outfitters just relaunched their blog, offering a simplier format and more opportunities for social networking. Written content spans a dozen international cities and covers news, clulture and design as well as the occasional UO product shoutout. In addition to the requisite Twitter and Facebook accounts, Urban Outfitters has also set up Flickr and YouTube accounts where users pool their content freely. Finally, their eBay store lets you big on items from their vintage line, Urban Renewal, and a contest page offers chances to win everything from gift certificates to tickets to Bonaroo.

We've noticed a bloomer trend on the Spring 09 catwalks and now, just in time for New Year's Eve, holiday versions are cropping up. Pair bloomers with opaque tights, strong heels, a cotton basic, and a boyfriend blazer and you've got yourself a chic going-out outfit. This trend, of course, is not for everyone but we will say that those we've seen it on have been women of all shapes and sizes--not just model-sized gals. At any rate, if this is something you might like to try out, there are plenty of options under 100 dollars. Out two favorites are the Silence and Noise Ruffled Tap Pant ($32, left) and the Topshop Sequin Knicker Hot Pant ($50). Better to buy them on the cheap, just in case you change your mind at the last minute...
