Considering the fifteen beauty looks provided by M.A.C. this season, we're pretty sure there will be no shortage of beauty inspiration come Fall 2009.

Fashion In 50 Seconds 12/19/08 We Love Sprouse, Hilfiger Back To Bryant Park, Obedient Goes E-Commerce, Beauty Goes On Sale
The highly anticipated limited-edition Louis Vuitton for Stephen Sprouse collection has landed, called We Love Sprouse, and the offerings, bright and optimistic as they are, just might jump-start the economy. Well, we can hope. Check out the collection right here.
Tommy Hilfiger has announced that he will be showing his Fall 2009 collection in the tents after a three-year hiatus from Bryant Park. Recently, Bryant Park mainstays Betsey Johnson, Carmen Marc Valvo, and Vera Wang have booked their runway shows elsewhere.
Obedient Sons & Daughters has launched an e-commerce site for their men's collection and the results are quite handsome. The brand has yet to launch women's but here's to hoping...check out their Spring 2009 men's and women's collection right here.
Prestige beauty products are succumbing to mark-downs as shoppers are unwilling to purchase anything this season, without a discount. The only upside to this is that retail clerks won't have to get stuck working the returns line the day after Christmas.

Buttoned Up: Androgyny Du Jour
A friend of ours went to visit one of the designers of Mexican brand, TEAMO, and sent us this picture of one of their Spring 09 blouses. Buttoned-up and cropped to perfection, it got us thinking about how many blouses were styled this way on the Spring 09 runways. Crop tops we're written about, but the buttoned-up look is just now permeating in our minds. We remember seeing a similar look, right off the bat, at the Karen Walker show. It was similarly cropped but, in this case, floral. There were also fabulous examples of buttoned-up tops at Behnaz Sarafpour--these came with strong shoulders too. Tommy Hilfiger and Ralph Lauren both did it in creams with full fledged androgynous styling to boot. Even Marc Jacobs, as feminine as was his Spring 09 collection, kept things tidy with this look. 'Buttoned up', admittedly, is something we'll see every season but there seemed to be a plethora of examples this Spring. Just like the choice to tuck-in, buttoning up is a subtle yet marked trend in its own right.

New York Spring 2009 Trend Reports: Stripes
Forgive us the awkward turn of phrase but stripes of all stripes were out in force on the catwalk for Spring 2009. Horizontal, vertical, or criss cross the pattern made its way onto dresses, shirts, skirts, and even slacks. Sabysachi, Mara Hoffman, Tommy Hilfiger, Aurelio Costarella, Leifsdotter, Doo Ri, Derek Lam, Iodice, Ports 1961, Carmen Marc Valvo, Marc Jacobs and Marc by Marc, Tibi, Y3, Catherine Holstein, Alice McCall, Rag and Bone, Michael Angel, and Thakoon all showed a variation on the theme.
