The Selby Is Now in Colette's Place

Todd Selby is getting his first-ever solo show in Paris's Colette featuring watercolors, video instillations, and, most notably, his photographs of creatives in their homes or at work. While creating new images for the show in Paris, Colette's Sarah Lerfel challenged Selby to photograph 20 people in a little over a week. His latest subjects include Jacques Grange, stylist Lisa Nalin, and artist Xavier Veilhan.

The show at Colette runs March 30-May 2, but if you are in Paris this week, stop by The Selby's Window Apartment for advance signed copies of his book or to have a portrait taken or your favorite pet.

Today's photographs over at our favorite creative-people-in-their-interesting-spaces website, The Selby, feature stylist Kate Young and music label director Keith Abrahamsson in their home in New York's Chelsea neighborhood. Images include Kate's victorian jewelry collection and her satisfyingly (at least to us) messy closet, Keith's endless albums, and baby Stellan's stuffed bunny and airplane mobile. Vogue's Sally Singer Poses For Todd Selby

Last week, Todd Selby photographed Julia Restoin Roitfeld at home and today he posted a shoot with Vogue's Sally Singer. Many people are aware that Singer lives in The Chelsea Hotel but few have had the chance to peer into her abode. Eclectic and inviting, Singer's interior style mirrors her fashion sense and overall demeanor. As for fashion items, the editor's shoe collection is nothing to scoff at.

Todd Selby Captures Julia Restoin-Roitfeld At Home

New York based photographer Todd Selby's latest at-home subject is none other than Julia Restoin-Roitfeld. .Selby has previously photographed Erin Wasson, Chrissie Miller (of Sophomore), Christina and Swaim Hutson (of Obedient Sons & Daughters and Hutson) and Alexander Wang, among others. For Selby, his shoot with Roitfeld comes on the coattails of a story he did for French Vogue, documenting Helena Christensen's New York apartment. For Roitfeld, the shoot with Selby coincides with her gig as the face of a new Jil Sander fragrance.

Everybody knows that wearing ripped leggings with a crisp blazer and having champagne and oysters for every meal isn't enough anymore. The new hipster actually managed to age over the past couple of years and, well, likes to stay home once in a while. Just take for example the new documentarian on the scene; Todd Selby. The man is single-handedly making Santos and Beatrice look like playgrounds for people who don't have enough personality to just hang out at home (seriously?). Outfitting your home with bric a brac a la Marlow and Sons and hunkering down for this damned recession is probably the snazziest thing a girl could do these days. Retrouvius to the rescue.
