Whether or not you've fully embraced the harem trouser trend is dependent on whether you're willing to wear them in a loud print. While the black jersey versions are seeping into the female consumer conscious these statement-making renderings are definitely not mainstream just yet. If you're brave enough to wear them we think that a black bodysuit and a pair of simple heels would balance out the look.
We've been going around in circles with draped trousers and strong shoulders for a while now, and this season is no exception. This morning, Balenciaga revealed an utterly polished version of the look which made us sigh "only in Paris" over our morning coffee. Earlier this season, in New York, Temperley London gave us an exaggerated version--fit for a London It-Girl--and Marc Jacobs gave us a truly American rendering with denim and colored metallic. No matter which style you identify with, it seems the options are still plentiful.
We've been noticing an influx of berry colored garments on the e-commerce sites this season and though we love the shades involved, the sheer number if giving us the creeps. Could their presence be a result of the black opaque tights trend? Berry colors, after all, best compliment that particular look. Whatever the reason may be if you're feeling ultra-feminine there's no need to wait until Valentine's Day to get your sweet on. Net-a-Porter in particular is ready to dive in now--and though an army of pink and purple frocks doesn't seem appealing, one or two can't hurt. Yes, you could call us romantics.

Temperley London is has opened a pop-up in Ibiza this month, just in time for those last-minute full-priced purchases. Could this be an alternative to sample sales? The pop-up was created with the help of Ibiza-based lifestyle service Deliciously Sorted and features Temperley's summertime kaftans, evening frocks, and swimsuits for those vacationing on the island. The shop allows for 'late night shopping and exclusive poolside service' making it that much easier to drop some plastic under the influence of a few cocktails. Pop-ups, as we know, don't 'pop-up' unplanned. Take Colette's conspicuous pop-up, slated to emerge curiously near Bryant Park, right in the middle of fashion week. Temperley London's well-timed pop-up doesn't exactly surprise us, in other words, but it does remind us to examine just why brands erect these brick and mortar anomalies. If we were vacationing in Ibiza, sure, we might be down from some poolside Temperley. Yeah, why not. If you should be land-locked (sigh, sweat) you might as well get your Temperley London on sale.
