First, in New York, limited-edition tubes of <a href="http://dailycookie.net/2009/02/mac-ruffian-red-a-portable-piece-of-fashion-week/">MAC's Ruffian Red lipstick</a> were given to show attendees-- the tomato shade was so well-received it even had beauty editors calling it <a href="http://www.bellasugar.com/2815856">The Rarest Red</a>. Later, in Milan, the Chanel "liquid" lips at Sportmax created a similar sensation. This time the siren shade was buzzed about by <a href="http://www.allure.com/beauty/blogs/reporter/2009/03/the-lipcolor-youll-be-wearing.html/?mbid=coutorture">American editors</a> who couldn't get their hands on the European-released shade just yet.
