Earlier this week we checked out Rebecca Minkoff's late summer and fall handbag offerings. From lower-priced nylon diaper bags to faux croc laptop cases, Minkoff knows that her loyal clients want more than just the signature morning-after bag. Speaking of which, the designer has also recently revisited ready to wear, and you can buy her pared down (but definitely not plain) clothing range online now. Before you go stocking up on all kinds of spring goodies, check out our snapshots of the Fall 2009 handbag range below.
Yesterday, when we stopped by trade show Intermezzo we caught a glimpse of Rebecca Minkoff's Spring 09 handbag collection. The brilliant color palette and inclusion of laptop cases to the range had us more than excited for a new year. Unlike the Goyard version, Minkoff's chic laptop cases (which come in neon and embossed nude) retail for just under $200. We don't know about you but we tote around our laptop just as if it were a handbag, so we're starting to think it's deserving of something a little more chic than the black velcro number we currently use. Minkoff's range--laptop cases or no--was impressive to say the least. Check out the Spring 09 styles in our gallery below, and, our interview with designer before the launch of her Fall 08 collection.

In business they say "always be closing" but in fashion it is "always be delivering" and Maison Martin Margiela is taking that to heart with a collection they are calling Avant Premiere that will be unveiled to the trade late next month and delivered to stores in May. A Margiela spokeswoman told WWD the collection would consist of about 60 styles for women and 60 for men, plus a small selection of shoes and accessories: less expansive than many pre-collections.
