A Peace Treaty Does Great Spring Scarves

Liya Kebede Launches Lemlem With J.Crew This Spring
Not only does JCrew's website look like it's received some much needed maintenance, its also showing off their recent partnership with clothing line Lemlem. Lemlem launched back in 2007 at the hands of supermodel and Goodwill Ambassador Liya Kebede. The line is mostly for children but there are scarves and kaftans for women too. The clothing is handmade in Ethiopia from natural cotton and is beautifully light and vibrant with color. Kebede started the clothing line in order to inspire economic independence in the communities who produce these beautiful clothes while supporting their ancient tradition. Gwyneth Paltrow sent out a Goop newsletter today announcing that she'd done some spring cleaning and that her "most treasured" pieces would be sold off on eBay for charity. Said Goop store is posting these gently used designer pieces with extremely low starting bids. We're pretty sure that by day six, when the auction ends, the pieces will reach a more deserved price point but still. In the name of fashion philanthropy we had to at least mention it. Click on the title link above to buy Paltrow's Proenza platforms, the entire cost of which will be donated to the Robin Hood Foundation.
