The wedge has been a popular shoe for seasons and though it's always second runner up to the platform it seemed as thought Milan was banking on a breakthrough. While Salvatore Ferragamo invented the wedge, it was Dolce and Gabbana and D&G that did the most with the form this season alongside appearances from Fendi, Marni, Moschino and Frankie Morello.

Peter Som officially parted ways with Bill Blass, owned by NexCen Brands Inc, and there are horror stories about embroiderers not getting paid to prove it. NexCen scraped Som's Spring 09 runway show, which was when the news leaked that Som would be leaving.
Today we learned ten reasons why we should be shopping again and, more importantly, that Net-a-Porter is opening an "outlet and sample sale priced sister site" called theoutnet.com. This is bigger than Topshop.
Moschino celebrates their 25th and Rossella Jardini, the low-profile Creative Director behind the brand, talks about her approach to fashion. Moschino; known for its playful style, and Jardini; who is not impressed with the so-called glamorous life, are a match made in heaven. Unless you call luxury price points glamorous.

Trend Report: Milan Says Supersize Me
Its usually the Americans that go the bigger is better route but it seems as if the Italians were on something of a supersize kick for Spring 2009 with the catwalks showcasing more than a few larger than life options; Frankie Morello had giant dog tags, Fendi showed enormous belts, Moschino did oversized bows and let's not forget the bizarrely outsized necklaces at both Marni and Burberry. But the real winner of the bigger is better prize? Agathe Ruiz De La Prada showed an entire collection that made us feel like we were childrend again, staring up at some bigger, better, and bolder world.
