Mark Fast Launches Cheaper, Faster Fashion

London-based Mark Fast-celebrated maker of body conscious cobweb knitwear-has answered our prayers with a newly released, more affordable collection, called Faster, for spring.

Inspired by the unexpected high demand for pair of tights designed for his runway show goodie bags, Fast manufacturers the less expensive collection using machines in Italy, rather than, say, one person hand-knitting a designer collection piece, which can retail for thousands of dollars.

Prices for the new lineup of form-fitting tube dresses, cropped tops, and leggings, range from $25-$400 wholesale and will be available this spring in New York at Curve and Seven.

Designers To Watch This Fall 2009: Mark Fast

Candian born designer, Mark Fast's thread-bare knits have us positively enchanted. Fast graduated from Central St. Martins with an MA in 2008 and gained industry experience by working with Bora Aksu prior to his graduation. This Spring 2009 will be the designer's second solo season. Watch for his show which will kick off the 5th day of London Fashion Week. For more on the designer, click here.
