On March 18th, Cheap Monday will be landing at Inven.tory in New York to sell off fifty limited and numbered pairs of jeans as part of their custom jeans tour. The patched/ripped/dyed jeans retail for just $70 each, so it comes as no surprise to learn that the batch assigned to each leg of the tour--in Stockholm, Copenhagen, Berlin, and London--were all but sold out by the time the second case of beer was finished. See Cheap Monday's photo diary below and, for more, check out the brand's Fall 09 collection where these denim incarnations first made an appearance.

Rodarte Lands At Presse Boutique
We've been so caught up with Spring 09 happenings and elections and holidays that we nearly missed our chance to report on the Rodarte Archive Sale on Presse Boutique. If you remember, we reported that the online store was to release seven Rodarte items resurrected from previous seasons and, if you remember, that release date was this afternoon. So far (7:21pm EST), the studded gloves ($580) and mohair scarf ($375) have sold out but the rest are still up for grabs (granted, in limited sizes). We're not quite as blown away as we hoped we'd be--there's definitely some color missing, or some extraspecialwow-factor but, alas, Rodarte can do no wrong in our minds. Check out the gallery below for the seven archival pieces included in Presse Boutique's sale. They might not be available forever but you could call it another page in e-commerce history.

OAK Bondage Pop-Up
Yesterday we skipped over to OAK to check out the limited edition offerings for their Bondage-themed pop-up. We have to say, Vena Cava really blew us away with two silk dresses which were screen printed with to-scale nude drawings (one bound with leather straps). We know Vena Cava is known for their prints but we never thought we'd see something so subversive from the designers. Check out our gallery of some of the pieces for the project and, lucky for everyone, check out the limited edition items also available on OAK's website.
Immaterial: Ksubi Wright Sunglasses
These Ksubi Write Sunglasses demonstrate the illustrious power of limited edition accessories. With only 50 pairs made worldwide (in New York they went to OAK, of course) in the gunmetal and white versions, if you don't have them already, you probably never will. Never fear, that's what ripoffs are for, and they don't have to be from the street vendor (funnily enough we saw a vendor selling a rip off yesterday on Broadway, making us wonder if street vendors might be just as skilled at trend forecasting as the agencies). Maison Martin Margiela turned out an even pricier version of these wrap around glasses for Spring 08. Also, hey, there's always those grandpa versions from the drug store.
