Motorcycle jackets are one of those keep-forever wardrobe staples that get better with age. Shopping: Inspired By The Fall 2009 Rodarte Color Palette

At the end of every season, after looking at hundreds of shows, there will always be specific qualities that resonate and stay with you. For us this season (and we're sure, many others) one of those things was the color palette at Rodarte. Although there was something almost medical to the grey/green that dominated the show, the glimpes of brilliant metals and pure-as-snow ivories kept it from feeling dismal or, for lack of a better word, ugly. To that end, we decided to round up some great current season leather jackets that touch on Rodarte's unforgettable Fall 2009 color palette.

When a small up-a-coming brand starts selling out on Net-a-Porter before their clothing actually makes it on the site, you know they're someone to pay attention to. Which garment, in particular, had everyone placing pre-orders? Aminaka Wilmont's amazingly tailored leather jackets. This Spring 09 only encourages us to think that the brand is only going up from here. Marcus Wilmont and Maki Aminaka Lofvander are the design duo behind this brand and, for Spring, they sent their signature leather pieces down the runway in addition to architecture inspired prints and soft basics.
