Jennifer Behr Keeping The Headband Trend Alive

Kabiri Launches Week-Long Sale Starting Friday
Our favorite jewelry e-commerce retailer, Kabiri, is launching into a massive May Day sale starting, you guessed it, Friday. The sale, which runs from the 1st through the 8th of May, offers 30% off of designs from Tom Binns (pictured), Giles and Brother, Noir, Alexis Bittar, Disaya, CC Skye and Rowan Mersch. Spring 09 was all about statement making jewelry and if you were keen on the trend, we find this a great opportunity to invest in a fabulous piece for summer.
Johanne Mills Will Wow You With Her Resume And Awesome Earrings
Textile aficionado Johanne Mills got her start in the industry when Donna Karan bought her entire graduate range and hired her to work as a creative director and project manager for the company. Over the next five years with Donna Karan, Mills also consulted on textiles and accessories for Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Luella, Hugo Boss, and Matthew Williamson. Later in her career, in 2003, Mills went on to work with Giles Deacon on a project that involved embroidering crystals and stones into garments. It was at this point that she started to pursue jewelry design and the rest, as they say, is history. Mills current collection addresses her ongoing interest in voluminous and natural forms, while blending unusual materials like wood, Swarovski crystal, cork, leather, and hand-crafted knotted fabrics. Ka Pow Wow To Go Live On Kabiri Tomorrow

Nude Pantyhose Make For Great Statement Jewelry
We're so impressed with UK jewelry designer, Maria Lau, and her usage of hosiery as a material in woven jewelry. If we remember correctly, a few other designers have been playing around with this concept recently, but Maria Lau's inventive pieces are surely all her own. What makes us really want to run out and buy one is seeing them styled (left) with an all-nude ballerina-like outfit. There couldn't be a stronger look for summer and a statement necklace is definitely an important element in making it happen. Click on the link above to shop Lau's jewelry.
Geometric Jewelry By Wear And Tear
Formerly experimenting under the name Daydream Nation, jewelry designer Cheung Lik launched her jewelry line, Wear And Tear, in 2008. We love her geometric, sculptural pieces and they way they make a statement without abiding by statement jewelry standards--in other words, they don't necessarily envelope your whole face. Lik uses silk and suede in this collection which give the pieces a textured aesthetic. We found Wear And Tear on one of our favorite e-commerce sites, Kabiri, which sells only jewelry and features all of those designers whose work you only know from magazine editorials.
