Yohji Yamamoto will not show its Spring 2010 men's collection during Fashion Week in Paris.

This year's CFDA Swarovski Award nominees will be toasted in a series of short films produced by KCD.

The 17 year-old DKNY billboard in Soho is finally gone and will soon to be replaced by a billboard from Hollister.

In 2006, Talbots bought J. Jill for $517 million and now the company is now selling J. Jill to Golden Gate Capital for $75 million.

Esteban Cortazar is said to be leaving Emanuel Ungaro after three seasons thanks to an impasse over marketing and advertising strategy.

American Apparel is attempting to market and sell lamé and neon scrunchies for six dollars a piece.

A rumor is circulating that Karl Lagerfeld will leave Chanel and be replaced by Alber Elbaz who will be replaced by Oliver Theyskens at Lanvin.

LVMH-owned Donna Karan is rumored to be inking a deal to manufacture and distribute DKNY men's apparel.

LVMH Announces Winners Of The 'Bike In Style Challenge'

Partnered with FIT and the New York City Department of Transportation, LVMH announced the winners of their "Bike In Style Challenge" yesterday. FIT student Jessica Velasquez, 21, won first prize while fellow students Jane Carlton and Stephanie Murphy were also awarded. The challenge called for FIT students to design a poncho, a jacket and a travel bag which were both functional and stylish. DKNY, which is owned by LVMH, will be producing prototypes of Velasquez's winning designs.

Midseason at DKNY means snazzy cocktail dresses, sleek denim and casual cotton separates. Easy to design, sell, buy and wear these pieces are a win-win for everyone and one of the key reasons why DKNY is today a household name. This year's Resort range looked to the eighties for inspiration.

You could say it became a trend by way of DKNY's sneaker pumps (above) and perhaps Ann Demeulemeester's lace-up wedges. Now that spring footwear is hitting shelves it seems there are plenty of lace-up sneaker heights to choose from. This trend might be loathed by some and loved by others but, regardless, we're just happy that there's some padding in this season's sky-high numbers. A few strips of PVC and a wooden five-inch platform shouldn't be our only option for fabulous super-tall footwear.

People say the Fall 2009 season is all about styling and this trend--of wearing black turtlenecks under color--couldn't serve as a better example. This look adds drama and depth to outfits that might otherwise look flighty, out of season, or just too optimistic. It plays up that layered tidiness that we've been seeing so much of for the past few seasons and it makes something interesting out of classic separates.
