Trouser shorts have been a topic of conversation in the menswear scene for seasons now and Spring 2010 will be no exception. So far this season many designers have shown trouser shorts--a notable few in neutral tones. Paired with monochrome shirts and accessories we think these unassuming shades will be all the rage next spring.

Francisco Costa's Resort 2010 collection for Calvin Klein showed paper-thin, diaphanous frocks and separates. Some criticized it for not being practical enough to meet resort standards while others were impressed with Costa's growing talent with fabric. We agree with Nicole Phelps who acknowledged the "relaxed, unburdened ease" which the clothing conveyed. To us, it was if the wearer had either just submerged herself in water or dried every fiber of her outfit in the sun--and both of those images are rather resort-friendly to us.

Another designer pulling from their slot at the tents during New York Fashion Week--Vera Wang has announced her decision to show her Fall 2009 collection at an intimate off-site show. To see Wang's Spring 2009 collection, click here.

Both Francisco Costa and Donna Karan revealed that their Fall 2009 collections will be smaller this season, in an effort to cut costs. Now there's a thought.

Kate Moss has re-signed her contract with high street retailer, Topshop, for another three years. The supermodel plans to expand her range to include accessories and lingerie.
