Although the collections are our number one priority when it comes to Fashion Week, there are many stunning backstage shots that catch our attention while we sort through the photos. Since Paris Fashion Week is over, and the weekend is almost near, here are a few of our favorite backstage images from the Paris shows. You know, just for fun.
As is typical of shows at the Altman Building, and with United Bamboo in particular, things are pretty low-key this morning. Rather than keeping invitees standing in a line that wraps around the corner (like last night at Rag & Bone, Robert Geller, etc...) people are sort of aimlessly wandering in, coffees in hand. A great way to start the day if you ask us. Stay tuned for our runway gallery from the Fall 2009 United Bamboo show which we hear will include Deka Ray jewelry and Falke hosiery--very important details indeed. We just finished an interview with an icon of commercial sportswear Tommy Hilfiger before his Spring 2009 fashion show at Lincoln Center. A comfortable, welcoming backstage as only Paul Wilmot can provide, we enjoyed some tiramisu and a little bubbly while we waited for the show to start.
