Sonia Rykiel Resort 2010

Before the couture shows begin on Monday we just can't help but pour over a few final Resort 2010 collections. Sonia Rykiel, designed by Sonia and her daughter, Nathalie, revealed a Resort 2010 collection featuring the fashion house's most iconic looks. Boyfriend blazers, slouchy lux trousers and quirky knitwear came together in such a way that every look was at once no-fuss and purposefully seductive. Our favorites, below.

Marni Resort 2010

Although our focus may have shifted to the Men's Spring 2010 shows, the Resort 2010 collections are still coming in. Marni's resort offering was revealed yesterday and shows off Consuelo Castiglioni’s signature prints and let-loose silhouettes. That said, Castiglioni never fails to gives us a much needed dose of intellectual fashion optimism. This collection is full of items that Marni fans will love--boxy printed blouses, wide leg trousers, statement necklaces and irreverent footwear. Check out our favorites in the gallery below.

Roksanda Ilincic Resort 2010

This year London based designer Roksanda Ilincic showed a resort collection with a dark, dramatic edge. The Central Saint Martins graduate, who recently announced she would collaborate with British high street retailer Whistles, told WWD she wanted her resort collection to "be approachable in terms of fabric" but the results are anything but everyday. Ilincic is known for her cocktail dresses and this season they stand out more than ever--with 3-D draping and mesh details.

Tatty Devine Adds Whimsy To Peter Jensen's Resort 2010

Tatty Devine boutique loves fellow Londoner Peter Jensen. So much so that it has created quirky accessories to go along with Jensen's Resort 2010 line. Inspired by his signature rabbit design, the collection features plastic bunny sunglasses (left) and a super chunky charm bracelet. Look out for them on tattydevine.com starting November.

Richard Chai Resort 2010

For resort, Richard Chai showed a collection that is predicted to please editors and buyers equally. Current trouser silhouettes and universally pleasing floral numbers stood out in the collection and will surely tempt those gals looking for vacation-wear or, more likely, something to don on date night. Chai's sweet and easy sensibilities have always appealed to us and we're looking forward to seeing his Spring 2010 range.

Jeffrey Monteiro Resort 2010

Up and comer Jeffrey Monteiro presented a minimal, yet edgy resort collection. The palette is elementary - Crayola red, sea blue, khaki, black and white. Cuts are modern and forward, sexy in a subtle way. Some soft metallics made their way in, adding some sheen to the simple textures. Peekaboo effects like a cold shoulder and cut outs remind us Jeffrey designs for a flirtacious gal. One to watch.

Emilio Pucci Resort 2010

Peter Dundas' Fall collection for Pucci, his first as the house's creative director, got flack for its uncanny similarities to Balmain's Spring '09 collection. But the criticism didn't seem to bring him down because his resort line, inspired by the sea, remains energetic. "The Pucci girl represents joy, energy (and) fun," Dundas recently said. If you look closely, you'll see Pucci's signature Palio print, but it's not as obvious as when Matthew Williamson was head.

Adam Resort 2010

This year, Adam Lippes revealed a nautical-inspired resort collection. From the embellished maxi dresses to the easy draped shorts many of the items will prove just perfect for a midseason getaway. In fact, one might picture each piece perfectly rolled into a designer suitcase, easily mix-and-matchable during an exotic vacation. As for the gals who might not have the chance to indulge in such things, there are still city-ready boyfriend blazers, cocktail dresses and dazzling statement necklaces which will surely ease the pain.

Vera Wang Resort 2010

For Resort, Vera Wang called up some of the themes she's been experimenting with in recent seasons. Dense metals, wisp-thin blouses and dresses and statement jewelry reappeared. The designer opted for flats on the runway, another piece of evidence that suggests sky-high heels are on their way out.

Richard Nicoll Resort 2010

British designer Richard Nicoll is known for his sporty, clean style. For Resort 2010 the designer showed his signature silk color blocked dresses along side a fabulous line up of cropped trousers and textured skirts. As for the military metals, worn as brooches and necklaces, they were created by Erikson Beamon. Richard Nicoll has been producing hit after hit since he graduated from the Central Saint Martins MA course in 2002--we hope to see this young designer offered a creative director position in the coming seasons.
