La Garconne Launches Pre-Fall Look Book

We just happened upon La Garconne's recently-launched Pre-Fall 2009 look book and it actually has us excited for fall. The French-chic editorial pays homage to outerwear and Alexander Wang and features some items available for purchase and some presumably in the La Garconne pipeline. We're happy to see their colorless inventory illuminated with a well-styled editorial. Check out the look book below.

Fall 2009 Look Book: Moises de la Renta, Oscar's Son

Like father like son is not the case for Oscar de la Renta and his designer son Moises. The latter's debut collection has finally hit the web and it couldn't look more dissimilar to daddy's sophisticated designs. After all, Moises' muse and model for the line - American rock singer Lissy Trullie - is no priss herself. I would be interested know Oscar's thoughts on his son's punky creations and whether or not he offered up advice.

Fall 2009 Look Book: H&M

H&M's upcoming Divided Exclusive collection, and now their Jimmy Choo collaboration, might be stealing the spotlight but their regular Fall 2009 range is trè chic. Here's a peak at the look book, which artfully styles Divided Exclusive and regular H&M pieces together. With the menswear shows starting next week and the Spring 2010 season looming, we think it might be time to actually start thinking about buying fall clothing.

Karen Walker Fall 2009 Collection

Karen Walker's Fall 2009 collection, which was shown during New York Fashion Week, was titled "Cracked". On the runway the theme manifested in chic break-away jackets and quirky prints depicting shattered china plates and broken strands of pearls. Walker also experimented with princess sleeves this season, showing the new silhouette on everything from trench coats to jersey dresses. Check out the full range of looks in the gallery below.

3.1 Phillip Lim Fall 2009 Look Book Featuring Tao Okamoto

This Fall, Phillip Lim sent a slew of sixties inspired looks down the runway. With so many outfits to digest, we've been eagerly awaiting the arrival of a look book on the designer's website. Finally, a sixty-odd page spread has landed on the site, clearing up all of our break-away coat questions and then some. Delightfully, the look book features model-of-the-moment Tao Okamoto, who inspired the bowl cut wigs featured in Lim's runway show.

Lizzie Fortunato Jewels Fall 2009 Look Book

Jewelry designer Lizzie Fortunato was inspired by the American West this Fall 2009. In the introduction to the look book, Fortunato describes her Fall 2009 customer as "the sophisticated city girl who's packed up her urban lifestyle in favor of her boyfriend's Harley, roadside diners, and great adventure." Brimming with texture and romance, the signature mixed-material creations are given names like the "Midnight Rambler Necklace" and the "Memories Of Red Rock Necklace". Coclico Fall 2009 Look Book

Eco-friendly footwear label, Coclico, showed off their love of neutral, low-heeled shoes this Fall 2009. Given that Kenzo showed similar styles this season and that we've been seeing quite a few wooden-soled sandals in stores recently, we think Coclico will find themselves in good company this Fall 2009. Acne Fall 2009 Look Book

Swedish brand Acne is growing steadily and impressively by the season and this Fall 2009 marks another victory for the brand. The Fall range was first presented during Stockholm Fashion Week and showed off Acne's mastery of the androgynous and oversized. Judging by how well the Spring range is doing on Net-a-Porter--many items sold out immediately--we think Fall will be strong as well. Check out the look book in full, below.

Lyn Devon Fall 2009 Look Book

Young designer Lyn Devon, who launched her label in 2005, wanted customers to "dress on the bright side" this Fall. In her collection, vibrant purple, deep red and an optimistic poppy print appear alongside dark classics. The effect is dramatic and sophisticated, optimistic but not at all ditzy. Texture is also considered this season with houndstooth, ultra-thin leather and tech jersey coming together in different combinations. The overall effect is an ultra-clean, sophisticated take on modern sportswear which will hopefully get Devon into many more stores next season. Suno Fall 2009 Look Book

Suno's colorful Spring 09 collection generated quite a buzz after word leaked that Opening Ceremony would stock the brand and that inventory would be limited (and numbered). With a beautifully photographed look book and a globally conscious design aim--to employ Kenyan workers, preserve local artistry and highlight local textiles--Suno was off to a strong start. Just released is the look book for the second collection, and it does not disappoint. Check it out, in full, below.
