This fall, lace-up ankle boots are a footwear must-have. From low-heeled versions, which are proving quite popular, to the high heeled renderings shown above--the long, lean lines of this season's ankle boots make quite an elegant statement. Wear them with cropped skinny jeans and a t-shirt or wool tights and a shift dress in the same shade.

Flat shoes are all the rage for Fall, and nothing says 'I mean business' more than a leather loafer. Andre Leon Talley has issued his seal of approval, and loafers have already been spotted on the likes of Ashley Olsen and Kate Moss. That can only mean one thing — they're gonna be huge.

Sigerson Morrison Launches Online Store

New York based footwear and handbag company, Sigerson Morrison, recently launched their own online store. Simple, elegant and logical the site takes visitors through items either by category or by collection. Unfortunately, items are only displayed from one perspective, however, every color swatch has its own image--which somewhat makes up for it. The launch of Sigerson Morrison's online store coincides, fortunately, with their seasonal sale so many of the items are marked down.

This Fall, flats and low-heeled shoes are back in fashion and, so far, ankle boots are the strongest evidence of that trend. Pair them with cropped denim or a feminine floral dress now and layer them with wool stockings and trousers come fall. Not only will you be able to wear them from morning through night, but you'll look chic doing it.

Chloé Among The First To Send Out Over-The-Knee Boots

We're sure that come September, over-the-knee boot options will be plentiful. There's no reason why any footwear brand wouldn't produce at least one pair, given that it was one of the biggest trends of the Fall 2009 season. That said, we have to give Chloé props for being one of the first designer brands to put out a pair. Although Chloé showed over-the-knee boots as part of the Fall 2009 runway show, these are not from that collection nor are they from Pre-Fall 2009 or Spring 2009 either. Presumably the folks at Chloé simply know that women are already on the hunt for this look--even in June. These black over-the-knee suede boots are available on Net-a-Porter and retail for $1,245.

In case you haven't had your fill of studded and spiked footwear, Pour La Victoire has the market cornered this summer. Similar to Givenchy's Fall 2009 spiked sandal, the Pour La Victoire Tia spike heel is available at OAK and retails for just $348. If the combination of a 1" platform and 4 1/2" heel has you feeling nauseous, the brand is also selling studded (not spiked) sandals via OAK as well.

Given that Kenzo showed similar styles this season and that we've been seeing quite a few wooden-soled sandals in stores recently, we think Coclico will find themselves in good company this Fall 2009. Marais USA Get Spring Styles, Available Online And Beyond

Marais USA, the low-priced Brooklyn-based shoe brand we wrote about a couple of weeks ago has just received most of their spring inventory which is now available for purchase online. Pick up suede woven sandals for $68, peep toe wedges for $72 and patent flats for $52. With their diverse array of colors and reasonable price point, who knows how long they'll be available for purchase. Of note, however, is that select Urban Outfitters stores will carry the line and that the brand is hosting a one day pop-up store in Brooklyn this Friday. So you'll have a few chances to grab a pair...
