With the help of stylist Hayley Atkin, "The Office" alum and creative genius selected a purple Oscar de la Renta shift dress for a visit to NBC's "Today" show, finished with a crystal-embellished trim around the sleeves and neckline.

Playing to the design's '60s influence, Kaling, 43, added color with a pair of architectural gemstone drop earrings and a modern update with PVC ankle-strap pumps that feature a glitter cap toe. She parted her hair to the side and let her loose waves blow in the wind, opting for a glossy lip and a sweep of silver eyeshadow.
