Smoke, light, shadow, crystal, and butterfly wings were all starting points for the Peter Pilotto Spring 2009 collection--but don't expect anything flighty or sweet. A microscopic look at nature is what brought these inspirations together and it manifested on the runway in the form of a rich color palette and a remarkable array of textures. Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos are the designers behind the Peter Pilotto label; the two met while studying at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. Now, you can find their designs at such fashion-forward places as Opening Ceremony in New York and Dover Street Market in London.
