American designer Douglas Reker, launched his namesake line in 2007 after working as a graphic designer and print artist for the likes of Christian Lacroix Jeans, Pencey, and Elizabeth and James. This season Reker's took inspiration from his mother's collection of miniature personal effects--which then translated to detailed cut-outs, whimsical prints, and inventive tailoring. The line retails on the low end of contemporary, putting him in a category of designer who understands how to communicate high fashion trends by way of an accessible price point.
