According to an article in WWD this morning, stylish Londoners are taking sartorial inspiration from Rihanna and Lady Gaga and wearing lingerie brand corsets as eveningwear. Sales of luxury intimates at Selfridges is up 70 percent, with styles from Bordelle—including a $1,470 girdle with white feathers jutting from the hips—selling out within 24 hours of arriving in store.
