Ralph Toledano, who has held the reigns at Chloe since 1999, and Sidney Toledano (not related to Ralph), the CEO of Christian Dior since 1998, were two of his best friends growing up. Also hailing from Morocco are Alber Elbaz, the current designer at Lanvin; the Marciano brothers, founders of the denim brand Guess; and Joseph Ettedgui, the London-based designer and retailer.
