Chanel will show their Resort 2009 collection in Miami tonight. WWD reports that over 120 people were flown in for the event, which doesn't surprise us given that after the Oscar de la Renta show yesterday, almost everyone there spoke about hoping on their flight down south.

Gucci is opening a new store in Prague this week. The last of their brick and mortar ventures was in New York where a three-story flagship, spanning 46,000 square feet, opened up in Trump Tower. Despite some turbulence in profits overall, Gucci sites 70% of their profits to retail sales, justifying the push to open lavish flagships worldwide.

A manager at the Marc by Marc Jacobs boutique was arrested for stealing 62,000 dollars (cash not clothes) from the store. Kyle Avila, 24, faces charges of grand larseny. He was arrested on Monday.
