Hope Robertson Shoutout: Can You Compare?

Save or splurge style posts are a style blogging staple and yet we can't freaking stand them! We love when the Beauty Brain helps us save a buck when pretty packaging disguises inconclusive active ingredients but by and large we think the whole genre is a scam. Different price points exist for a reason (with the possible exception of contemporary lines which are largely expensive due to constraints in sourcing and volume but we won't get technical here) so we often feel like comparing aesthetically similar bags is like comparing apples and oranges.Hope Robertson is comparing a a Jil Stuart bag with a Target Mossimo Bag that look relatively similar.

To her credit though she does not take the easy route of doing a high low comparison but genuinely points out the bags various merits. Canvas, leather, casual, formal and other details help us go beyond the price points. And bless her heart she decides to go with both. What would you have done hmmmm?
